World Youth Day

World Youth Day

The World Youth Day (WYD) is an event organised by the Catholic Church that invites young people from all over the world. The WYD is held annually in each diocese in the world on the day of Palm Sunday, with a main ceremony being held in the Vatican.

However, every two or three years, a great international workshop is organised and held in a different host city. This ceremony is presided over by the pope.

The Vatican has announced that the Pope has chosen the themes to be focussed on "for the itinerary of three years of World Youth Day, which will culminate with the international celebration of the event, scheduled to be held in Panama for the year 2019".

"Behold the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word."

This is the theme that Pope Francis has been chosen for the WYD in Panama in 2019. Are you ready for WYD 2019?

Here at Tours Peregrinos Mexico, we continue to organise the pre and post event stays in Mexico for all the young & faithful people that plan to attend. Contact us for more details.
